The tape drive cycles through its messages which includes the tape drive's serial number. Power cycle the drive by powering it off and back on again or reset the drive by pressing and holding the unload button for greater than 10 seconds. Press the Select (star) key and then the right arrow key to display the serial number of the drive. Press the right or left arrow key until the View Drive Information screen appears. Press the OK button and then the Back button to exit. Select Drive ID and then hightlight the source drive and hit the Select button.
Highlight Library ID and press the Select button to display the serial number. Autoloader serial number: From the Home Screen Menu, Press the Library button to display the Library Properties screen.
